This week, we'll be joined by David Karol, a professor of government and politics at the University of Maryland, College Park, and co-author of The Party Decides: Presidential Nominations Before and After Reform. David talks about how the wacky 2016 primary season may or may not fit into political scientists' view of how American politics work.
Then we'll speak to Gary Legum, who is on the ground in New Hampshire covering the primary for Salon.
Finally, we'll speak to Nazita Lajevardi, a researcher at UC San Diego, about a new study she co-authored that finds that Republican voter suppression is far more effective than we thought it was.
Playlist:
DJ B-Phisto: "Sarah Palin Remix Battle"
Queen Ida and Her Zydeco Band: "Hello Josephine"
Talking Heads: "Totally Nude"
The Clash: "Spanish Bombs"
